If you’re going to do a biography of a complicated subject, and bring any kind of nuance to the telling, then you better saddle up and pour your heart and soul into the effort. You’re going to have to make a book like this one.

|A wild amalgamation of poetry, philosophy, science, and stellar art, this is a book just as eclectic, wild, and whimsical as its creator. It’s honestly not like anything out there.
Gathering together all his skill, Wenzel brings to this simple little picture book an artistry and talent bound to blow you away. This is the cat/dog narrative we’ve all been waiting for.
This is definitely a book for those folks who want to see complicated characters cracking jokes, making mistakes, and having a fantastic time. Trust me. You ain't never seen anything like it before.
Here we have WWII spy antics, hungry kangaroos, and a hero determined against all odds to help his parents, even if that means fooling Nazis.
I could have picked any picture book to kick off my reviewing in 2024. I have selected this one. For me, this is everything I hope and fear for this year.
