Ok, Betsy. You fooled me once again. Today you chose to reveal the COVER of a book from a very intriguing author/illustrator combination that won’t publish until July, 2024. I’m immediately filled with irritation. For heavens sake, Betsy, my time is consumed right now trying to decide what the leave in Maine, what to take with me in a 5’8′ U Haul trailer to Tucson. What to leave car area for the items that MUST return to Maine next May (NO TRAILER coming back. . . NO CLIMATE CONTROLLED STORAGE SPACE in either location). The decisions and energy required are enough to drive a woman crazy. And paying daily attention to your blog entry draws my LIMITED attention to a book not even publishing until AFTER I have spent several winter months hopefully in a sunny, warm climate and even after a return to “paradise”. I DON’T HAVE TIME FOR READING YOUR LONG AND WONDERFUL REVIEW RIGHT NOW.
But then you fool me in a most delightful way. Yup! The title DID read “Cover Reveal”. All my knee jerk outrage totally unnecessary!!! I have time to bookmark this VERY BRIEF post and also note the title in my 2024 appointment book. AND NOTHING MORE IS REQUIRED except to share my experience with my favorite blogger. With the resume of this author and illustrator, I feel sure there will be a followup from you, maybe even LONG and WONDERFUL, sometime in the future. Thanks for pranking me even when you had no intention! Happy weekend. I’ll be looking forward to reading again next week and hopefully for a long, long time.

The clue was that I really only ever do one review a week. So you’ll always know that if you’ve already seen one, the likelihood of me doing another is slim to none.
Brevity! A rare thing from me, it’s true.
