Video Sunday: World premiere of The Making of “Journey”
It is my supreme pleasure and honor today to present to you a little video that you shan’t find much of anywhere else. Many of you are aware that Aaron Becker’s debut picture book Journey is getting a lot of critical acclaim and book buzz. What you may not know is that back in 2011 he contacted a friend of his to film the book’s progress. The result is today’s video. Ladies and gentlemen I give you The Making of “Journey”.

Thanks that I cannot repay to Aaron Becker for passing this along to me.

Okay, DAMN. That is lovely. And you almost don’t want him to get the medal this year because I get the feeling we’ll be wanting to give it to him for everything he produces. Call it The Weisner Conundrum. 🙂
Nice! I haven’t seen this book yet. Bookbug here I come!
I purchased Journey after seeing it on your site and being unable to find a library with it. It came into the house and I “read” it to my youngest (2 years old). Meanwhile my older son (6) came and sat down with us. When we were done he wanted to go through it again. And then he asked me “Can I have this book?” And vanished with it back into his room (where everything goes we don’t want torn up by previously mentioned 2 year old). I’ve seen it since a couple of times, in his hand, when he’s actively looking at it. But he’s hoarding it in his room for sure!
I loved this video. So wonderful.
