World Premiere: Z Is for Moose – The Madness, the Method, the Trailer

June 10, 2012 by Betsy Bird   9 comments

Ladies and gentlemen it is my supreme pleasure to show you today a little somethin’ somethin’ you’ve not seen the likes of before.  A star studded cast.  A deeply amusing book.  A video that is enjoying its world premiere here on A Fuse #8 Production today.  So sit back, pop some popcorn, and enjoy the all new trailer for Z Is for Moose!

It’s the joey that kills me.  “How ya doin’?”  Classic.  Once you look at the voice cast list it plays out like a veritable who’s who.  It’s incredibly impressive (and makes you think that at least some of those guys could launch a career in voiceover work tomorrow).  One does wonder if the “Oy gevalt” is indeed courtesy of Sendak and, if so, whether or not this makes the video his last known video work.  Hope so.
Thanks to the Greenwillow folks for allowing me to show this.

Ms, Bird, thank you very much for premiering this little project of mine, and on Maurice Sendak’s birthday, no less. It is indeed Maurice’s voice doing Glove. He recorded it for me the last time we visited him, in February. I hope he would have enjoyed the trailer. I hope everyone else enjoys it, too.

Wow, Paul! Just . . . wow! Well it’s an honor to show it, I have to tell you. Best video of the year, that’s what I say. Raises the bar.

…and Z is for…the best book trailer ever, and for one of the most fun picture books, ever! Congratulations to Paul and Ms. Bingham. Thank you, Ms. Bird for posting this! Yay Moose!

    What fun!
Z is for Moose was a huge hit at my grandson’s PreK class a few weeks ago. They devoted a week throughout the school year to each letter of the alphabet and as soon as I saw this book I told the teacher I had the perfect book to share for ‘Z’ week … Thank you, Kelly and Paul, for this instant classic!
