Kidlit Drink Night: Brooklyn Style
Did you know that more authors and illustrators of children’s literature live in Brooklyn than any other part of the country?
Actually, I’m not entirely certain that this statistic is true. Have you ever been to Northampton?
In any case, we’re hosting our very first Brooklyn-based Kidlit Drink Night in the wilds of Brooklyn, not far from the Grand Army Plaza and the main branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. And in honor of the date 11/11, we ask that you consider what your favorite book was at the age of 11. Nothing like a little conversation topic to get the ball rolling.
The deets:
Where: Sharlene’s, a nice little bar run by my friend (you guessed it) Sharlene. Located at 353 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
When: 6:30ish.
What: Kidlit Drink Night – A monthly gathering of children’s literary enthusiasts to talk about children’s literature and pretty much anything else that comes to mind.
See you there!
