Talk Like a Pirate Day! Arrr!
Arrr, me mateys! Tis a fine and bonny Talk Like a Pirate Day to ye too. Ye thought ye’d be gettin’ away without a drawl o’ pirate speak? Har har har har! To the brig with you, and take some links with ya as ye may.
Firstly, a fine pirate song for the librarians and pirates (but I repeat meself) out there today.
Now a question for ye, and don’t be shy? Have ye the scruvy about you? Well, find out!
BB-Blog be my source for that one.
It does me heart sad to think that there be bad pirate book covers out there. Dogs and hounds, that’s as despicable a Treasure Island jacket as ever this old sea dog did see, though.

And finally, some words o’ piratical wisdom compliments o’ the 826 Valencia crew.
More thanks be to BB-Blog for the links. Arrr.

I had such fun last year on TLAPD, going all over New England for SEA QUEENS that I am feeling particularly scurvyish this year not having anything to do except say Arrrrr to the mirror!

I do a whole week of TLAPD “lessons” with my kids. It’s great fun to hear the kindergarteners say “Aye, aye, matey!” in unison. =)
