Press Release Fun: Share a Story – Shape a Future
On the horizon there’s a literacy blog event that you might want to know about. Called “Share a Story – Shape a Future," the event will be March 9 to 13. The press release reads:
Books encourage dreams. Reading makes them possible. Share a Story – Shape a Future a blog event for literacy, is designed with those points in mind. From March 9 to 13, 2009 blogging librarians, teachers, parents, and people passionate about literacy will offer ideas on ways to promote reading and books. They will talk about raising readers, selecting reading material, reading aloud, audiobooks, and how to use the library as an ally. The organizers have several giveaways planned, and will also offer lots of free, downloadable content. It is an opportunity to share ideas, encourage each other, and spread the word. Share a Story- Shape a Future aims to build a community of readers. Please join us and share your story.
Apparently it will be a bit like a weeklong Carnival/blog tour, and I was asked to contribute as a blogger librarian. For more information, check out Terry Doherty’s post on the matter. I shall do my darndest to wow you at that time.

Confession: When Eva said you were joining us, I almost went hoarse from the *squees*! A post by the Lioness herself – it’s just too cool. Thanks for helping us spread the word, Betsy!

Aw. Lioness sounds a bit grand. Think of me instead as the small bird perched on top of the lions. Which, unfortunately, makes me a pigeon. Off to drive a bus . . .
