Fusenews: Muskrat riot. Put a comb through your coal black hair.

September 16, 2008 by Betsy Bird   5 comments

I had a lovely Kidlit Drink Night last night, and I thought about doing two reviews in two days in a row, just because it would make it easier on me in terms of posting.  But no!  So while it is short, here is some Fusenews to brighten up your day instead.

  • Gwenda Bond is currently reading  The Magician’s Book: A Skeptic’s Adventures in Narnia and has some great quotes from the book up on her site.  Check ’em.

  • That idea they had to put age branding on children’s books in Britain?  Looks like it may have fallen through.  Bookninja has the scoop.

  • Note to Self: Be sure to sign up for that free meeting of the Lewis Carroll Society of North America, particularly as they seem to have wrangled Mr. Jon Scieszka into speaking.  Educating Alice has more information.  To do.

  • What I should have made my daily image . . . .

(thanks to bookshelves of doom for the link)

  • What I Actually Made My Daily Image:

Not entirely certain what it is.  Not entirely certainly that I care. All I know is that it involves muskrats and rambling of some sort.  Thanks to Dan for the link.

That’s what a muskrat looks like up close? Awww! But those claws need some grooming.

Branding is bad form for most everything. Can you imagine a Nike icon hot-ironed somewhere onto your anatomy? Ouch!
