Winnie-the Pooh and Company are safely ensconced in their new digs and boy, do they look mighty nice. I have to admit, our old case had a timeworn quality to it. This new one? They look almost like they’re in a museum. Heavens.

Anastasia Suen has created the ultimate Children’s and YA Lit Blog Reviewer’s List. The general idea is that if you are a publisher or author and you’d like to know which blogs may or may not be interested in looking at your titles, the list provides information on what each kidlit blog prefers to review. It doesn’t mention little things, like the fact that I only review books from the current publishing year, but it’s a great resource for those people unaware of who reviews whichwhat.

Bad, PBS! Bad bad bad! It isn’t enough that you’ve sold out to become competitive? Now you actually have to start charging people for your PBS Kids Play website? What on earth?!? I can say nothing on this subject that my colleague Walter Minkel hasn’t already said beautifully. In short, "Grrrr!"

Far be it for me to start cooing over anything a chief children’s book buyer says, but when Wayne Winstone left the British book chain Waterstone’s, one of the first things he did was speak at a Children’s Book Circle event called "Death of the Picture Book . . . My Arse!" I am firmly of the belief that Americans need to start using the term "arse" more often. Who’s with me?

Je l’adore — but did you notice the small note “There is not a lamp included in the price” (and they don’t give the price, either, durn it.)
Yeah, it looks like they want you to download the whole catalogue to find the price. Very odd.
I was sad about Pooh and Co. being moved, but I agree, they look pretty good in their new home. I think it’s the wood paneling—very classy!
