Kidlit Drink Night: Post-SCBWI Cocktail Party

January 24, 2008 by Betsy Bird   6 comments

SCBWI Edition!

Well, the 9th Annual Winter Conference of SCBWI is coming to New York City on February 9 & 10.  That means only one thing.  Party time.

We’re having a Drink Night directly after the SCBWI Cocktail Party on Friday, February 8th.  Here are the sordid details:

Where: Local
1004 2nd Ave.(@ 53rd St.)
New York, NY 10022, Phone: 212.755.7020
I’ve booked a room in the back. Ask for the Elizabeth Bird party. They only have one party room.

When: Friday, February 8th, 9:00 p.m. till ???

Who: Y’all. Anyone who wants to come on down. Seriously.  Invite your friends.

Thanks very much to Cheryl Klein who took the time to scout out a location.

Finally! A function on a Friday night, instead of Monday!!! I’ll try my darnedest to be there! (I assume it’s okay if I’m not a writer or an illustrater…or a SCBWI member…)

Absolutely, Laura. Come come come. People with small children may now leave them with impunity. And ev-er-ee-bud-ee is invited to attend.

Woo hoo! I was going to beg you or Classof2k7 to do another Kidlit Drinks Night. Like last year, it’ll likely be packed, wall to wall… Can’t wait. 🙂
