Librarian Lauren says
I just came back from maternity leave! And I had a feeling working up to my due date was helpful in the long run. Did you have all your storytime parents getting on your case for shaking your sillies too hard?
Elizabeth Bird says
No, my particularly New Yorkish parents and nannies didn’t seem fazed in the least. I did, however, get some offers FROM the nannies to take care of my kid when it was born. I had to tell them that, sadly, with a librarian salary I just wouldn’t be able to afford them. But it was a nice thought. Congrats on your new kiddo!
