Oh, blooming heck.  Now if you clicked on this little video image then you probably read the explanation of what it is.  If you would rather stay comfortable on this blog for the time being, however, simply know that Mo Willems created a delightful little video for this year’s Children’s Choice Awards.  Then things went horribly wrong.  I’ll let him explain and instead take pleasure in watching him do his own Ministry of Silly Walks.  Thanks to MotherReader for the link!

It was Travis at 100 Scope Notes that located this next amusing bit from the BYU sketch comedy group about subliminal messages in children’s literature.  Funny they don’t mention Rainbow Fish.  That book gets these accusations, albeit seriously, all the time.

Periodically the universe likes to check up on the cast of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory to see how the “kids” are getting along.  I suspect this is society’s way of making sure they didn’t actually die on-screen.  BoingBoing originally posted this and in their piece I was shocked to discover how many of the kids became accountants and financial advisors.  Dahl probably could have predicted that.

Anyone else think that Charlie’s slowly turning into Grandpa Joe?  It’s the moustache that convinced me.

You know, I’m as skeptical of motion capture films as the next gal but this trailer for the upcoming Tintin movie?  It kind of feels right.  And not just because they’re willing to have Tintin hold a gun and sport that crazy hair, just like in the books.

And for the off-topic, this last video is a delight.  It’s set in 1927 and was shot to look just like an old film.  Called The Artist, the critics at Cannes adored it.  And if you don’t believe me when I say it’s brand new, just wait for the John Goodman appearance.  That’ll prove it to you.  Absolutely gorgeous.
