Video Sunday: Lots of leetle books
THAT is how you make a book trailer, people. Wow. Wowzie wow. I am in awe. Suddenly Cameron Tuttle has brand new fan in me. Pity I don’t read YA. Thanks to Little Willow for the link.
On a very different note is this book trailer for a potty etiquette title. I’m liking that music.
I know that this isn’t necessarily the response they’re going for, but this next one actually made me pretty nostalgic for good old Reading Rainbow. New goal in life: Meet Levar Burton. Oh. I am so doing that.
Thanks to bookshelves of doom for the link.
And while I’m stuck in 80s nostalgia (or, in this case, 1977 nostalgia) I’m oddly fascinated by this People In Your Neighborhood sketch from Sesame Street. Here, see what I mean.
Okay, first off I’ve never thought Bob was cute. Dadlike, sure. Friendly, absolutely. But cute? Only . . . he is kinda cute in this isn’t he? Then he proceeds to pseudo-hit on the lifeguard (she’s not buying it). Finally, I love the shudders he gives when he hears the bad carpentry puns. They seem to really cause him some deep emotional pain. Best. Sketch. Ever. Thanks to Drawn for the link.
Our final off-topic vid comes to us via author Kathi Appelt. I’d seen the wonders of Snowball the cockatoo before. However, when all is said and done, Snowball ain’t got nothing on Frostie here. And I know birds.
I wonder if sales of cockatoos have gone up since these YouTube videos have surfaced. Thanks so much for the link, Kathi!
