Better Know a Blogger
If I open my eyes a little and peek out of the little hole in which I live, I might notice that there are a lot of children’s literary bloggers out there. Tons of ’em, in fact. Folks I’ve never taken the time to sit down and really examine closely. That’s why I’ve decided to once in a while highlight another children’s literary blog on a random basis. Consider it a way of getting to know your neighbors.
So how do you randomly find a children’s literary blogger? Well, you could go through other people’s blogrolls and find ’em that way. But let’s go over to The Kidlitosphere Central site instead. If I look at the "Sampler Set" I can see a nice cut o’ bloggers out there. I pretty much know all those folks, though. Nah, let’s look at someone new from the full list. Someone like . . .

Why I Chose It: Catchy name. I tell you, guys, the name is half the battle.
Who It’s By: Lacy, "a writer and magazine editor living in the Denver metro area." Coo. Denver. A high altitude blogger, then.
What It’s About: Children’s literature. A nice little mix of news and reviews.
What’s Unique About It: I guess it’s been a while since I had a Blogger blog, but the design of this site is really nicely done. First off, the titular notebook design is right there, front and center. Then there’s the rather lovely background bit. I don’t know if that’s something that comes as a template for Blogger these days, but somehow I doubt it. Add in the Post-It Note motif and the paperclips pieces of paper and you’ve got yourself a pretty good layout.
Aside from the design, the blog posts reviews from a variety of folks. Nice regular updates. The whole shebang. It’s a cute site.
