Cover Reveal: I Am NOT Grumpy! by Caroline L. Perry, ill. Sydney Hanson

Folks, today’s a low-key kind of day and so we’re having a low-key little cover reveal and presentation of a couple interior spreads. Almost exactly a year ago I revealed the cover of the utterly adorable picture book I Am Not Happy! by Caroline L. Perry, illustrated by Sydney Hanson. If you’ll recall, it showed a seemingly cheerful quokka whose outer guise of glee hid a soul burning in torment.

This year we go the other way around. Caroline and Sydney are back and with them comes the black rain frog at the center of their tale. Google “black rain frog” some time, by the way. It’ll perk up your day considerably.

Today, we present not simply the cover, but also some interior spreads of this monumental accomplishment.
