A Brand New Jon Klassen Picture Book Cover Reveal. Because We Deserve Something Nice.

2020 got you down?

Feeling like you need something, ANYTHING, to get you through the remaining months? Looking for a bright spot on the horizon, no matter what the source of it might be?

Today, we premiere that bright spot.

In April of 2021 a new Jon Klassen authored and illustrated picture book will hit shelves everywhere. The book is called THE ROCK FROM THE SKY and here’s the book’s description straight outta the publisher:

“Turtle really likes standing in his favorite spot. He likes it so much that he asks his friend Armadillo to come over and stand in it, too. But now that Armadillo is standing in that spot, he has a bad feeling about it . . .

Here comes The Rock from the Sky, a hilarious meditation on the workings of friendship, fate, shared futuristic visions, and that funny feeling you get that there’s something off somewhere, but you just can’t put your finger on it. Merging broad visual suspense with wry wit, celebrated picture book creator Jon Klassen gives us a wholly original comedy for the ages.”

Interestingly enough the book is clocking in at a whopping 96 pages, making it the longest Jon Klassen picture book to date.

And without further ado . . . .

Lord, it looks like a little Waiting for Godot. I already adore it.

Many thanks to Karen Walsh of Candlewick Press and Mr. Klassen himself for the chance to reveal this marvelous little book.
