Video Sunday: It’s Been a Long Long Time, M’Dear
Howdy! I’m neck deep in book promotion for old Funny Girl these days, but that doesn’t mean I can’t cut a little chunk of time out of my daily schedule to bring you a swath of some good old-fashioned videos for this Sunday morn. And what a swath it is! First up, a video that makes me suspicious. Not because it isn’t a great interview. I’m talking with B.T. Gottfred of The Nerdy and the Dirty about sex in YA, the taboos that do and don’t exist, etc. No, I’m suspicious that YouTube purposefully freezes me in the weirdest positions when I embed my videos. Either that or I’m 100% goofy. Hm…
Now for this next one, I’m not gonna tell you that Ludacris is the first guy to freestyle Llama Llama Red Pajama. I’m just gonna say he’s the best. He’s clearly having fun with it and I give a lot of points for fun. Sorry, Migos.

Next up, if you haven’t read Bill the Boy Wonder: The Secret Co-Creator of Batman by Marc Tyler Nobleman, fear not. The book’s still out there AND now there’s a documentary about it on Hulu. And we, ladies and gentlemen, get to watch the trailer. Feast thine eyes on this alluring story:
This next one isn’t a video per se but it has a play button attached to it so I figure we’re 95% there. Travis Jonker and Colby Sharp were kind enough to allow me to talk on their podcast The Yarn about FUNNY GIRL and talk I did! I like that they begin the episode with my wild protestations that nothing in the book is “meaningful”. It’s not strictly true (I have been informed that the exploding bathtub has a bit of pathos to it, which was a surprise to hear, I can tell you) but it’s certainly indicative of my personality. Thanks for hosting me, fellas!
