Press Release Fun: Project Cicero in Search of Volunteers
Recently Cheryl Klein and I had a Kidlit Drink Night benefitting the remarkable organization Project Cicero. Now they need your help. If you’re local, that is. The information:
Project Cicero is a not-for-profit organization that creates and enhances school and classroom libraries in under-resourced New York City public schools. Now in its 10th year, Project Cicero has placed 1.3 million books in 7,500 classrooms, reaching an estimated 300,000 children through an annual book drive and distribution.
Volunteers are invited to help sort and distribute books at Project Cicero’s next distribution, March 5-7. Volunteers with knowledge of children’s and young adult literature are especially helpful!
The event will be held at the Hotel Pennsylvania located at 33rd and Broadway across from Madison Square Garden.
Volunteer hours are as follows:Friday, March 5: 4-8 p.m. (pizza and cake served)
Saturday March 6, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday, March 7, 10-5 a.m-6 p.m.
Individuals can rsvp to info@projectcicero.org. We hope you can join us this year!
