Blue Dream Studios and The Dreamland Chronicles Kick Off Charity Auction for First Book

 

Comic Book and Animation Superstars Bring the Gift of Reading to Children in Need

 

Nashville, TN – December 15, 2009 – The Dreamland Chronicles and Blue Dream Studios kicked off the first charity auction of sketch cards from the popular Dreamland Chronicles graphic novels ( http://www.thedreamlandchronicles.com/ ) The online auction, which runs now through Sunday, December 20, will benefit First Book, a non-profit that provides new books to children in need addressing one of the most important factors affecting literacy – access to books.

 

More than 80 illustrations created on Dreamland Chronicles Limited Edition Sketch cards were generously created by artistic greats throughout the comic and graphic novel communities, such as Tim Sale, Sergio Aragones, Frank Cho, Dean Yeagle, Joe Pekar, David Peterson. All proceeds from this auction will go to First Book.

“I’m so thrilled to help promote this Literacy Program with my fellow comic book and animation artists,” said Scott Christian Sava, author of The Dreamland Chronicles series as well as other graphic novels for children.  “I know the joy that books bring to kids; I see it every day with my own boys.
