Press Release Fun: PEN Human Rights Panel
I received this email from my fellow PEN members. For those of you in New York at that time:
On Monday, December 7, at 6:30, we will be co-sponsoring a panel discussion, "Who Will Speak for the Child: Human Rights at Home and the Convention on the Rights of the Child." The panel will include children’s book authors Walter Dean Myers and Deborah Ellis in conversation with Uzodinma Iweala and lawyers Laura Murphy and Jonathan Todres. The discussion will be moderated by Nadine Strosser and will conclude with comments by our committee member, Susan Kuklin.
The event, to be held at NYU Law School, is co-sponsored by the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy and the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice. We hope you will want to join us for this intriguing evening and that you’ll pass this email on to other authors, librarians, teachers, and editors as well.
