Kidlit Drink Night – Magazine Fun

November 9, 2009 by Betsy Bird   2 comments

Mark Tuchman took this side shot of us as we posed for this month’s SLJ cover.  It’s particularly appropriate since Cheryl Klein and I, pictured here, are hosting a Kidlit Drink Night this week in honor of that issue.  Our next get-together will be Thursday, November 12, at the Globe Bar on 23rd St. between Lexington and 3rd Ave., starting about 6 p.m.  Please come if you can.  I’ll be a little late, but there around 7:15.  And if you would like to be on our mailing list, email us at nyckidlitdrinks@gmail.com.

See you then!

    Why Ms. Bird,

I opened my PW this week and there you are – quoted in the Forward on Page 3. Seems you are everywhere these days.

Yes. I apologize for that. I think I shall cloister myself in a cave for a bit after this month. Though, knowing my lunch, I’ll just end up mentioned in Hermits Monthly or something.
