Kidlit Drink Night: BEA Style

May 14, 2009 by Betsy Bird   16 comments

Book Expo is coming to town, and a bunch of you fine and feathered folk are coming along with it.  Seems to me that the children’s lit crowd should probably have a good get together.  So I paired up with my partner in crime editor Cheryl Klein and we have determined both a time and a place for the next official BEA Kidlit Drink Night.  To wit:

When: Friday, May 29th at 8:00.  We are aware that some of you may be at a BEA dinner that night.  In consideration, we are beginning the festivites at 8:00 p.m.  Just stop by if you’re still in a mood to mix and mingle.

Where:  The lovely Hounds Tooth Pub.  We will be in the lower bar portion of the pub, so look for us there.

Where?:  Oh.  It’s at 520 8th Avenue @ 37th Street.  Can’t miss it.

Who:  You.  Y’all.  You all.  Howsoever you prefer to say it.  And me.  And Cheryl.

It’s bad enough to miss BEA, but to miss yet another KidLit Drink Night is salt in the wound. Hoist one for me, y’all (always my preference) and enjoy!

I’ve been wanting to go to one of these since I started reading your blog and now I would have the chance, except you scheduled it for the same time as BEA Tweetup! NOOOOOO! Sorry, but my heart was already set on the tweetup, so I must follow it. Too bad. Have a great time though!

I’ll be there. And I swear that I’m going to get home at a reasonable hour. None of our closing-down-the-bar antics.

Well, Ryan, if Tweetup is lame just stop on by. We’ll be there. You bet.

Yup. In a bar, so no kidlets.

    Be there with shells on.
(No bells, sorry. They are out of my price range.)
    Cheers,
