What Should I Review?
The year is almost done. And by the plethora of reviews I’ve been whipping out, you can tell that I’m trying to cram in the last of my 2008 titles before the inevitable switchover.
In general I am usually unable to review everything I’ve read in a given year. Now I’m looking at 2009 as a potential blank slate. A time to set the record straight. To erase everything in my To Be Reviewed file on Goodreads and move on.

Still and all, I’d like to give one of these books a final chance for a review. I’m going to let you decide which one too, even though I know that the sheer number of books listed here renders such a poll fairly silly. Basically, if two people decide on one book, that’s the one that’s going to win a review. But what the hey? Let’s give it a shot anyway. Glance through the following three polls, tell me what you think I should review. Bear in mind that while I am horribly sad that I didn’t get a chance to review most of these, others had their chance and disappointed me instead. You run a risk with your vote, because I’m going to be honest about whatever you pick. I’m curious to see what you prefer. I’ll wait until this poll disappears from my blog’s main page and then tally the results.

I really, really want to read about No Girls Allowed. Can I lobby for that one?
What an evil, impossible choice. I’m torn between which books I want to hear your opinion of, and which authors I want to see get some Fuse #8 lovin’.

Surrounded as I am by nonfiction books, picturebook galleys, and HUGE fiction titles, I understand your dilemna. I need a way to sticker these books with month/date of publication so I know which is falling through the cracks. Couldn’t help you with the third list. Lots of fun reads in the first two.

Well, I just discovered you read Healing Water and admit to fantazing about one of your in-depth and honest reviews. We authors love them, of course.
But we’d take itsy-bitsy honest reviews too! What are the chances of getting feedback in a more concise manner? Perhaps some sort of roundup review of the books you read – perhaps an explanation of stars and the lack thereof. OR here’s-my-overall-impression in-25-words-or-less.

Actually, Joyce, the reason “Healing Water” isn’t on the list is because it’s the next one on my pile to definitely review. It may even be the last of the year. I love the idea of a Review Roundup for the books I don’t do, though! 25-words or less is not my strength, but it would make for a great post. Thanks for the idea!
