Karen Hesse Interview – Exclusive Video Link
It’s not Video Sunday, but I sometimes make exceptions. I reviewed the new Karen Hesse title Brooklyn Bridge a couple months ago because I am a fan and I felt the novel was particularly strong. Feiwel and Friends who produced the book liked the review and said that if I wanted they would provide me with a link to this rare interview recently conducted with the mysterious Ms. Hesse. Here then is Karen Hesse, interviewed by Jean Feiwel, about Brooklyn Bridge and the story behind the story. To play (on a Mac anyway… older PCs don’t play it at all, I see) double click on the video. To stop, click once. It took me the better part of last night to figure out how to embed videos without a premade code, so I apologize in advance for the teeny tiny size.
Another Hesse interview snippet is available on the Good Conversations website here. Good Conversations is one of those companies that interviews children’s authors about their works. Very useful with my MLIS grad students, I can tell you.
