The American Library Association Conference: The Arrival (sans Shaun Tan)

It wasn’t until dinner that night that Jen Robinson suggested that the song Hotel California would have paired beautifully with this examination of my traveling facilities. Woulda coulda shoulda.

    Betsy!

Where is the footage! It’s gone missing. Are you adding the song???

Are you visiting authors and illustrators signings? Can we put in requests?

Love that you are doing this….

Yeah, I posted that a little earlier than I expected to. Song is not present because I am lazy. Requests are certainly welcome, though I’m all over the map today.

Did you see the Readers Theater? That sounded unusual…

I also heard that Brian Lies had constructed something (Bats at The Library). A batty bit?

Ed Young’s new book, Wabi Sabi? Sneak peeks?

Any original art on display? Is there a gallery?

OMG, Betsy! This video was F@#$%ing hilarious! I LOVE the “beach theme” in the hotel room.

I’m so pleased that you were able to get the creepy ESPN Zone moving heads in as well as the view of the fireworks from my car as we waited for the light to change.

I’m even more pleased that I didn’t actually appear in the video!

I loved your red dress today, by the way. I overheard you chatting with some peeps but didn’t want to interrupt.
