You know, I liked these videos so much the first time, that I’m gonna show ’em again! Forgive the repetition.

Here’s something new. The annual Los Angeles Times/UCLA Festival of Books has invited Rogue Artists Ensemble to perform at this years festival on Sunday, April 27th.
" In 2006, The Story of Frog Belly Rat Bone was discovered by Rogue Artists Ensemble. Its lovable characters, quirky aesthetic, and solid message immediately endeared the story to the entire ensemble and we wasted no time in contacting Candlewick Press for permission to adapt this wonderful book into a children’s play. To our great delight, Timothy agreed to allow us this honor. Now the gears are beginning to turn on a world class stage production of this incredibly unique book. An early staging of this production flowered in the summer of 2007."
And as you can see, it looks quite nice.

I think Mr. Python should sue Mr. Pratchett for stealing the idea of an ape as a librarian.
You can’t help but notice the way in which the girl in the CPL spot throws her bounty of information into her locker. I’ve seen apple cores go into trash cans with greater ceremony. Ah, well, if appealing to the book-dropping youth of today means that you have to buy new copies of The Autobiography of Malcolm X and CosmoGIRL! every third time they circulate, then so be it!
