Comic Con-sciousness
More fun news. This weekend in New York is Comic Con. It’s that delightful time of the year where you get to stare at people in superhero outfits for long stretches of time. I’m a fan. Better still, I will be hosting a panel AT Comic Con. If you come (and I hope you librarians all remembered that it’s free for our particular profession) please come on down and attend the following:
"Buying and Shelving Kids Comics in Libraries"
A panel featuring librarians Christian Zabriskie and Jason Poole and conducted by Elizabeth Bird (that’s me) is scheduled for Friday, April 18, from 4 to 5 pm in room 1E07 at NYCC. I’ll be wearing my best and brightest librarian costume.

I’m totally bummed that we’re down to 2 panelists now. I don’t know anything about Christian, but I’m sure we’ll have plenty to talk about nevertheless…

It’s all good. Worse comes to worse I’ll do a soft-shoe on the table to the tune of “Sweet Adeline”.
