Micki Nevett
Monica Edinger has a lovely tribute up right now giving respect to fellow Newbery committee member and uber-librarian Micki Nevett, who passed away this Monday. Micki was, by all accounts, a remarkable human being. Some of you may have even have been her friend on Goodreads. I know that I was, though I am sorry not to have met her in person. There are plenty who did, however, and their 39 comments (and counting) on Monica’s site attest to this. There are also seven pages of comments on Micki’s obituary page in the Albany Times Union.
