Picture Book Plot Ideas: A New Series
Lord help those of you who rely on inspiration from megalomaniac Manhattan librarians . . . but for those of you who DO, here’s a doozy. This one came at me via author Marlane Kennedy. And no, to the best of my knowledge she does not want to write the tale herself.
News story: 6-year-old sleeps with python
In envision the picture books as the Love You Forever of snake tales. Only in this case, rather than feature a little old lady with an extension ladder hooked to the roof of her car, the character with separation issues is more scaly. Or you could go the young Hercules route and make the snake in the cradle a good guy rather than a bad.
