I’m not a USA, USA, USA type, but let’s tip our hat to the 4th of July by playing a song that I can still sing to this very day. Come, fellow people of my generation. Let it all out.
And don’t you dare pretend that you don’t know the words/tune.

For years – years – my 8yr old and 11yr old girls have known the preamble because of this song. While all van-driving moms were playing Wiggles songs, we played the classics, Schoolhouse Rock.
They are also quite adept at multiplication. “Threeeeee, it’s a magic number…”
Thanks Fuse, for catapulting me back into a time when I actually knew the words to this Schoolhouse Rock series. Ahhhh…I’m young again. Finally.

I love Schoolhouse Rock. We use the part of speech songs in my Second Grade Literacy Block. I never saw this one.
Thank you! I will never forget helping my 7th grade classmates get A’s for a test reminding them about this song. It was so funny our teacher wanted to know why her students were humming while taking the test. That was in 1984. Great times!
Good memories. I love the way a white 18th-Century hand stamps the Constitution “OK” in the beginning, and an African-American hand stamps it “Right On!” at the end. I never noticed that back in the ’70s.
