More of What I Missed While At ALA
Quick now, quick now!

Well, there was a gay children’s books article with a magnificent quote from Arthur A. Levine found thanks to Kids Lit.
-
Kids Lit, for the record, also directed me to the Anti-Princess Reading List.
-
And what kind of cruel person would I be if I didn’t let you know about the illustrated Animal Farm via Children’s Illustration?

And thanks to bookshelves of doom we learn that Love You Forever has, for inexplicable reasons, been promoted as a good thing in an article. Go to Leila’s site and she’ll allow you to vote on whether or not the book is creepy. Thus far 100% of her readership is with her and, by association, sane. There is, after all, a reason for the book’s inclusion on branch #2 of The Triumvirate of Mediocrity.

All these years I’ve thought I was the only one who didn’t just LOOOOVE LYF. I feel vindicated! This one post may have me reading blogs regularly!
Over the years there have been several lively threads about LYF on childlit. fairrosa has one of them on her site. Since slj commenting won’t let me give the URL google “fairrosa” and “love you forever” and the first link is the discussion.
